Minecraft Locate Command Generator FAQ

The command says it cannot find the structure — why?

The structure may not exist in your world type or dimension. Ancient cities only generate in the deep dark, fortresses and bastions only in the Nether, and some structures are disabled in custom or superflat worlds.

Does /locate work across dimensions?

No. It searches within your current dimension. Travel to the Nether before locating a fortress, or to the End before locating an end city.

How do I teleport to the result?

Click the coordinates in the chat response to teleport instantly, or paste them into the Teleport Command Generator on this site.
