How the Recipe Viewer Works
Type any item name to see its shaped crafting recipes: the exact 3×3 grid layout, ingredient list with links to each item's ID page, and the output count. Items with multiple recipes (like the crafting table, which accepts any planks) show every variant. The Used to craft section lists what this item becomes an ingredient for — useful for planning farms.

Minecraft Recipe Viewer — Crafting Recipes & Ingredients FAQ
Why does an item show no recipe?
Not everything is craftable. Elytra, saddles, name tags, and netherite ingots (which are crafted from scraps) come from loot, trades, smelting, or the smithing table instead. The item page lists those sources too.
Does the viewer cover smelting and smithing?
It focuses on shaped crafting recipes. Smelting, smithing, and stonecutting recipes are described on each item\u2019s ID page in the How to Get section.
How accurate are the recipes?
They come from the reviewed catalog used across this site, checked against the Java Edition registry. Alternatives like different wood types are shown as separate variants.
