How the Recipe Viewer Works
Type any item name to see every verified way to make it in Java Edition 26.2: shaped crafting grids, shapeless combinations, furnace/blast furnace/smoker/campfire recipes with cooking time and XP, stonecutter output counts, and smithing transforms or armor trims. The Used In section reverses the lookup — pick an ingredient like Netherrack and see everything it becomes. Click any ingredient or result to keep browsing; the browser back button retraces your steps.
Good items to try
- Armor Stand: 6 sticks + 1 smooth stone slab (shaped).
- Iron Ingot: smelt ores, blast raw iron, craft from nuggets or a block — eight recipes across three stations.
- Netherite Ingot: shapeless from scraps and gold, then see every smithing transform that consumes it.
Data Coverage and Honest Limits
Recipes come from the official Java Edition 26.2 data report (the same files the game loads), pinned to the site catalog version. A small set of dynamic special recipes — fireworks, map cloning, banner duplication, shield decoration, and item repair, 23 recipes in total — cannot be drawn accurately as static grids, so the viewer states that count instead of guessing. Brewing is not a crafting-station recipe type and is not covered. Items with no recipe and no documented drop are marked as likely loot, trade, or creative-only rather than given fabricated sources.
