Using Fire Resistance Well
Always carry Fire Resistance in the Nether: one lava step ends hardcore runs, and the potion is cheap once you have magma cream from magma cubes or crafting. Note it does not protect against firework explosions or campfire-style standing damage quirks in all cases, so do not get careless.
