Fire Aspect is a Minecraft Java Edition enchantment in the fire aspect group, with a maximum level of II.

Sets the target on fire with every melee hit, adding 4 seconds of burning per level. Mobs that drop raw meat (cows, pigs, sheep and more) drop it cooked when they die while on fire.
Tip: Fire Aspect II turns a sword into an auto-cooker for animal farms. In PvP the burning animation also obscures the target's screen.
Fire Aspect is as much utility as damage: the burn finishes low-health mobs after you walk away and cooks meat drops automatically, saving a furnace step. Two real caveats: a mob that touches you while burning can pass the fire to you, and ignited Endermen teleport constantly — many players keep Fire Aspect off their enderman-hunting sword.

Sharpness adds reliable up-front damage on every hit; Fire Aspect adds delayed burn damage plus the cooked-meat utility. They stack, and the classic PvE sword runs both. If you can only pick one, Sharpness kills faster.
Flame is the bow counterpart: arrows set targets on fire, one level only. Fire Aspect is the melee version with two levels and the cooked-meat bonus. Functionally they are the same idea for different weapons.
Bedrock Edition: Fire Aspect works the same in Bedrock Edition — 4 seconds of burning per level, and animals killed while burning drop cooked meat.
The enchantment ID for Fire Aspect is minecraft:fire_aspect. Java Edition 1.13+ commands such as /enchant use this namespaced form. On Java 1.12.2 and earlier the numerical ID was 20.
