About Jungle Planks in Minecraft
Jungle Planks are a reddish-brown wood variant crafted from jungle logs. Jungle trees only grow in jungle biomes, which makes this one of the rarer Overworld woods.

How to Get Jungle Planks
Jungle Planks are crafted from Jungle Logs: one log makes 4 planks in any crafting grid. Jungle trees grow only in jungle biomes, so the wood is rarer than oak; pre-built Jungle Planks can also be salvaged from shipwrecks.
- Find a jungle biome and chop Jungle Logs from the tall jungle trees; plant four jungle saplings in a 2x2 square to grow a giant tree near home.
- Place a Jungle Log in any crafting grid slot.
- Take 4 Jungle Planks per log.
What Is Jungle Planks Used For?
Crafting Table
Four Jungle Planks in a square make a Crafting Table when jungle wood is your first supply.
Barrel
Six Jungle Planks plus two wooden slabs craft a barrel, a compact storage block that villagers use as a fisherman job site.
Chest
Eight Jungle Planks in a ring make a chest, and mixed plank types are accepted for this recipe.
Furnace
Each Jungle Plank smelts 1.5 items as furnace fuel.
Building
The reddish-brown boards give builds a warm, tropical look; jungle-specific stairs, slabs, fences, doors, and boats must be crafted from Jungle Planks.
