What Frost Walker Does

Freezes water into frosted ice under your feet as you walk, letting you cross oceans and lakes on foot. Also makes you immune to magma block and campfire damage.

Tip: Frost Walker ice melts behind you in light — keep moving. And it cannot share boots with Depth Strider.

Using Frost Walker Well

Frost Walker turns water crossings into walking: the freeze radius grows with level, and the ice only exists while you keep moving in dim light. Its hidden value is magma block immunity — handy in the nether. The tradeoff is real though: it conflicts with Depth Strider, which is the more useful water enchantment for swimming-heavy play.
